Things have been kind of hectic around here (I know, they’ve been even more hectic in the Middle East) so this is going to be a bit of a streamlined news update. With the flash floods which have recently hit the area I’ve had a lot of my normal routine thrown off, but that’s nothing compared to what some people have had to go through, so I’m not going to complain. What that means, however, is that my ability to log a lot of the news stories that’ve happened over the past couple days has been not so great. If you add to that the fact that new in the Middle East has been changing almost hourly, it’s all a bit overwhelming when I try to remember what has actually been happening. So what I’m going to do is just list off the stuff that I remember and hope that means it’s the important stuff.
Big Stories:
Obviously, Isreal and Iran: Israel and Iran have been going back and forth with attacks on each other for most of the last week. Israel has destroyed much of Iran’s infrastructure and Iran has hit a few Israel’s key defensive positions while also, seemingly, going out of their way to fire on civilian sites. I’ve actually been trying to do a decent job of updating my Telegram page with news stories pertaining to Israel/Iran so if you want to be more updated on this just CLICK HERE. Iran has been promising that their strikes are going to get bigger and bigger, and there’s still the chance that this could happen, but so far today the Iranian attacks have been downright miniscule. If they don’t change something soon I fear that the they’re going to have to make the mistake of sending out a nuke. There are some concerns of this but there are also major concerns that if Iran shuts down the Strait of Hormuz that oil prices could go up to $300 per barrel, and that would mean MAJOR increases at the gas stations. As I’m just about to post this article I see that Donald Trump just posted this to Truth Social.
Sounds like the US is about to enter the war against Iran.
No Kings: The No Kings protests happened this weekend and there were really only a few incidents. I’m actually pleasantly surprised that things didn’t get as heated as many thought they could become.
Minnesota Political Assassin: This was actually a huge thing that happened this past Saturday. A man who has confused many shot and killed a Minnesota state Senator and her husband and also attacked and shot another Minnesota state Senator and his wife, traveling to their houses while dressed as a police officer to gain access to their homes. Vance Boelter used to work for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (who was also the running mate of Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, but he was also a Christian Nationalist pastor who had a hit list which targeted politicians who were pro-abortion. Frankly I think he just had some sort of psychotic break, if he wasn’t a full-blown MK Ultra case. His story has so many twists and turns that it’s almost not believable. I’m sure there will be updates to this story in the coming days but I’m really not sure we’ll ever get the whole story on this one.
I think that’s all for today. We’ll be back to normal on Wednesday. If you want to keep updated on Isreal events please follow my Telegram account. Things are changing so frequently between Israel and Iran that that’s really the only way to keep up with things. Plus, it looks like the US is on its way to bombing Tehran, so I guess there’s that.
I pray everyone is having a great day!
Come, Lord Jesus!
