Weekly (Christmas) News Update 12/25/24
Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah!
This past week was EXTREMELY chaotic and I wasn’t able to put as much time as usual toward paying attention to the news. Working as a retail manager (like I do), there has not really been all that much time for personal time and I used most of it that I had to sleep. I apologize for the limited update.
I also have the fun excuse that today is Christmas and I’m going to use that excuse. To all who celebrate: Merry Christmas!
And if you celebrate Hannukah, that starts tonight so: Happy Hannukah!
There’s still stuff going on with the drones but the news seems to be a bit slow on that one right now, so that actually makes me a little more concerned. There was a LOT of talk about the Bird Flu this past week, and some of the news was a bit more concerning than the normal random cases popping up.
Here’s the rundown that I actually was able to pull together…

US Front
The US House GOP submitted their first attempt at a spending bill for the next year and detailed in the bill were allowances for vaccine mandates, vaccine passports, gain of function research, biolabs. There was an additional $60B in Ukraine funding. The bill blocked the ability for congress to subpoena House data (including emails) and would potentially block any investigation into the actions of committees such the January 6th Committee. There was a 1 year renewal of the “Global Engagement Center”, which has the stated purpose of combatting foreign disinformation (so anything that sounds like ‘Russian propaganda’…). Included in the bill was also a 40% raise for congress, and the bill also took the step of striking the term “offender” and using the term “Justice Involved Individual” instead when speaking of criminals. This was the bill brought forward by GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson. With friends like this, who needs enemies…
Thankfully, there was enough public outrage by Republicans that this bill was killed before it was able to get to a vote. Eventually there was another spending bill passed which raised the debt ceiling and didn’t reduce any debt footprint. This isn’t a good way for DOGE to start out.
The US is investigating internet routers which are used by millions of Americans that have been made in China. The concern is that these routers have backdoors which are being exploited by hackers from China. https://www.yahoo.com/news/us-investigating-potential-national-security-001445939.html
The US Govt is telling officials and politicians to stop using traditional text and messaging apps due to security concerns. Thursday (12/19) Kamala Harris cancelled a trip to CA and raced to the White House. At the same time, Joe Biden was rushed to the White House when he was expected to stay in Delaware until after Christmas. Still no word on what the reason for this was but it’s possible that this was in the event of a government shutdown which didn’t happen.
On Christmas Eve United Airlines grounded all flights due to a “technical issue”. Flights were up and running a couple of hours later but this was a HUGE issue and I’m not sure what singular technical issue would’ve occurred which would’ve ground ALL flights.
Shortly before the election Jamie Raskin stated that congress will refuse to certify the election if Trump wins and declare him ineligible due to starting an insurrection. Since then, Raskin has been quiet on his plans for certification of the election. Recently, however, rumblings have started being heard that Raskin is still intending on pushing for congress to not certify the election.

A Washington state inmate by the name of Bryan Kim (who goes by the name Amber) has filed a human rights complaint after he was moved from the women’s prison to the men’s prison. He was moved to the men’s prison after he was caught having sex with a female inmate.
A gay couple who adopted two sons have been sentenced to 100 years in prison for raping the children (among other things).

Both the US and Isreal have carried out attacks on Houthi positions in Yemen.
Signaling that the Biden Administration has given up on caring and is just clocking in before taking a nap for the rest of the presidency, Anthony Blinken has stated that the Trump Administration can worry about Iran getting a nuclear weapon.
The Syrian militia which overthrew the Assad regime has been caught on video handing over weapons to Israel in the Golan Heights.

On 12/19 four Russian warplanes have been intercepted in Alaska.
Addressing western skepticism about the viability of Russian hypersonic missiles, Vladimir Putin has proposed a missile duel with the US. They would choose a site where the US would attempt to disengage a US missile and a Russian missile and see if the US is able to shoot any of them down. Gavin Newsome has officially declared a State of Emergency for California’s Bird Flu cases. Is this the beginning of the next plandemic?
Wisconsin has logged its first case of H5N1 Bird Flu.
The person who has H5N1 Bird Flu in Louisiana is currently in critical condition.
Russia is currently stating that they have created a cancer vaccine and that they plan on distributing it for free. I’d be really hesitant about believing this one…
New Jersey’s largest healthcare system is currently requiring all visitors, staff, and patients to wear masks at all times when entering any of its hospitals in the state.

There was a sizeable CME attached to a M9.0 earth facing solar flare. It appears that it was mostly southern facing, however, so there’s only a threat of a glancing blow to the earth.

A declassified CIA document is claiming that life did at one point exist on Mars and that the planet was populated by very tall beings which built pyramids.
